Thorough: A thorough inspection of the accessible areas of your home can reveal much about the condition of your new home. Our inspection includes inspection of Heating / Cooling systems, Electrical System- Panel / Outlets / Lighting, Pluming System including Supply piping / Drainage piping / Fixtures, Structural elements including Roof / Wall / Floor Structures, Roof Coverings, Interior / Exterior surfaces and Decks / Porches. Also included in Your Home Inspection is a Wood Destroying Insect (WDO- Termites, Carpenter Ants, Wood Boring Beetles) and a Wood Destroying Insect Inspection (WDI- Wood Rot Fungus). Many lenders require you to provide them with a WDI / WDO inspection report. Inspections are performed to, and typically exceed, Oregon’s rigorous Standards of Practice for Home Inspection. The average home inspection lasts 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hours in length. At this point Washington State does not have a home inspector certification program and inspections performed in Washington are performed to the standards required by the State of Oregon. Home Inspector After more than a decade of deliberation in the State Legislature, Washington State is to have its own Home Inspector Certification program for September of 2009.
